Competition Terms & Conditions
1. The Promoter
The promoter is: Lumley Insurance of Lumley House, 56 Elliot Road, Cirencester, GL7 1YS.
2. The competition
2.1. The title of the competition is “Simulated Game Day”.
2.2. New clients subscribing to a household insurance quotation from Lumley Insurance, will be eligible to enter into the free prize draw to win two places on a simulated game shoot day.
3. How to enter
3.1. The competition will run from 08:00am on Monday 2nd July 2018 (the "Opening Date") to midnight on Friday 30th November 2018 (the "Closing Date").
3.2. All competition entries must be received by the Promoter in one of the following ways:
3.2.1 by completing an entry form on any of the Promoter’s digital media sites (via Lumley Insurance’ website, Facebook or Twitter); or
3.2.2 by calling in to Lumley Insurance offices in person or by telephoning the Lumley Insurance Office (TEL: 01285 885 885) and quoting the competition name; or
3.2.3 by sending a completed entry form to Lumley Insurance via Royal Mail.
by no later than midnight on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
3.3. To enter the competition:
3.3.1 enter the competition online by completing the entry form from our competition web page at http://www.lumleyinsurance.co.uk/article/competition/simulatedgameday competition and submit the completed entry form via the website by the Closing Date.
3.3.2 submit the entry form in person at the Lumley Insurance offices at Lumley House, 56 Elliott Road, Cirencester GL7 1YS or in person at Promoter events to Lumley personnel.
3.3.3 enter by telephone by calling Lumley Insurance (TEL: 01285 885885) and quoting the competition name.
3.4. The Promoter will not accept:
3.4.1 responsibility for prize draw entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
3.4.2 proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
3.5. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The competition is open to all people domiciled in the UK aged 18 years or over, who (i) for anyone attending hold a valid gun licence (ii) subscribe to a 12 month quote for household insurance with Lumley Insurance; or (iii) contact Lumley Insurance directly via their website or in person or by phone, and subscribe to a 12 month quote for household insurance with Lumley Insurance; where in both cases (ii) and (iii) above, the entrant’s current household insurance premium for their main residence is £1,000 per annum or more (householder must provide a schedule evidencing the premium) and Lumley Insurance can offer a household insurance for the same property on the same or better terms; except:
4.1.1 employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
4.1.2 employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
4.1.3 members of the immediate families or households of 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 above.
4.2. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
4.3. There is a limit of one entry to the competition per household. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
4.4. The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
5. The prize
5.1. The prize is two places on a simulated game day.
5.2. There is no cash alternative for the prize.
5.3. The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
5.4. Game Day to take place on a later agreed date between 1st February 2019 and 30th May 2019.
6. Winner announcement
6.1. The prize draw will take place on Monday 3rd December, the first name to be drawn shall be the winner of the competition (“Winner”), subject to confirmation of their eligibility under clause 4. The name of the Winner will be announced on all digital platforms referred to in clause 3.2 above on Monday 3rd December 2018 (Announcement Date) after completion of the prize draw.
6.2. The Winner announced by the Promoter in accordance with clause 6.1 is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
6.3. The Promoter will contact the Winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry. The Promoter will not amend any contact information once the competition entry form has been submitted.
6.4. The name of the winner can be viewed on the digital platforms from the Announcement Date for a period of [30 days].
7. Claiming the prize
7.1. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 30 days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
7.2. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
8. Limitation of liability
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
9. Data protection and publicity
10.1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
10.2. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
10.3. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
